We got our house keys!!!

I have some amazing news. We got our house keys last Thursday morning. I know, I know, I should have probably posted before now to tell you, but honestly we have been so, so busy.

It was very early and we were very tired when we took this photo, but I swear we are ecstatic πŸ™‚

I want to see some pics of the inside!! When do you think you’ll be moving in? So excited for you!

Pics will come I promise. We are getting the tiles done this week and then all our appliances and carpet (plus aircon) are getting connected and done next week. We will likely move in the following weekend so probably two weeks. We have to get our fences up very quickly because of our dogs so it might mean that the dogs stay with my parents for a couple of days until we can get them up. Luckily we rocked up down there to discover that our neighbour already put up their fence. They never tried to contact us about it, but it is the same fence we were putting up anyway. Because they didn’t contact us we don’t have to pay half which is amazing!!!

Yay for free fencing! I hope things get done on time and you have a smooth move!

I know, I was pretty excited hahaha. Hopefully they have done the fence lines correctly, but it looks like it was done by a professional so we are happy πŸ™‚ It was on the long fence too haha so 1/3 cheaper πŸ™‚
Me too. The tiler has been a little delayed so we won’t be able to do the moving we were going to on Saturday. Really we have tonnes to do anyway so we will just get all that done Sat and then move some downstairs stuff (kitchen stuff) Sunday. Carpet is done next week then the rest of the move is next weekend. Eik! So much to do!

This is so exciting! Congrats! Oh, and I have the same Baby Groot figurine (and one that dances to “I want you back”). I’m a bit obsessed. I saw that you’re getting fencing installed and I’m jealous. Our fencing is awful and falling down, but there is a lot of it and we can’t afford to replace it.

      Thank you!
I do love Groot, I don’t know why I love him so. He is a badass strong silent type who loves nature? Does that work hahaha.
I’m sorry to hear about your fences. That sucks!
The reason we were so excited about someone else already installing one side of the fence is because it means we won’t have to pay for it. Sounds bad, but we really don’t have a lot of cash at this point and my Father in law is actually coming to stay with us and we are all putting up the fence ourselves so we only have to pay for the materials.
I hope you can figure something out for your fence soon.

I k ow what you mean about Groot. When I first saw the previews I thought the idea of a tree as a character in a movie was ridiculous. Yet, somehow, he became my favorite.
I totally get why that is exciting. We’ll have to share the expenses with our neighbors, who we’ve live next door to yet only spoken to once in 5 years. That won’t be awkward at all!
